Evaporative Dry Eye Disease or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction is the most common condition that causes dry eye and affects vision and quality of life.

What causes dry eye?

Unfortunately, until now, the underlying cause of dry eye disease has been difficult to identify and treat effectively. Now, with breakthrough technology, it’s possible to acurately diagnose and treat the root cause of Evaporative Dry Eye.

What are my treatment options?

We are the 6th centre in the world to acquire the new innovative LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation technology to treat chronic dry eye. Finally it is possible to treat the root cause of Evaporative Dry Eye by unblocking the meibomian glands that secrete oily lipids. The LipiFlow system is designed to unblock eyelid glands by applying a combination of precise localized heat and programmed intermittent pressure to the eyelid while protecting the eyeball.

A clinical study at 9 US based investigational centers showed effectiveness of LipiFlow treatment at 4 weeks based upon improvement in patients’ meibomian gland secretion.
